Eric Darnell and Tom MCGrath's sequel "Madagascar: Escape 2 Africa" opened in theaters and IMAX everywhere earlier today, and reviews are pretty mixed. I personally didn't enjoy the movie at all, and you can read my review right here. Let's take a look at what other online critics have to say about it:

• Josh Tyler at Cinema Blend: "This is an inferior sequel, but one which still contains plenty of laughs."

Cinematical's Eric D. Snider: "It's smarter, gentler, and funnier than its predecessor."

• Brian Orndorf at Collider: "It's a bumpy journey, but there are still enough giggles available to warmly embrace this second round with some seriously quirky animal pals."

RopeOfSilicon's Brad Brevet: "It has all the key moments that make for a quality animated feature and then some."

• George Roush at LatinoReview: "There are about 60 different events happening and it's a headache trying to keep up with all of them."
