It's been quite a while since we've last seen the lovely Katherine Heigl spill her charm all over the big screen (her last flick was last January's "27 Dresses"), but this coming April, she'll be back!
In Robert Luketic's latest comedy "The Ugly Truth," Heigl plays a television producer who agrees to let the confident host (Gerard Butler) of one of her morning shows give her some tips on how to properly seduce a man.
As you can see in the preview after the jump, Heigl and Butler at least seem to share solid chemistry. The trailer as a whole didn't completely win me over yet, but Heigl alone is reason enough to check this one out when it opens April 3, 2009.
By the way, Luketic last directed "21." His other credits include the disastrous "Monster-in-Law" and the decently entertaining "Legally Blonde."
And why is it that we don't see Heigl on the big screen more often?

The reason we don't see Heigl as often on the big screen is because she spends 9 months of a year working on pretty much the biggest TV show out there Grey's Anatomy....you know the one she won an Emmy for....? So she only has enough time to film one movie a year..which is why there are rumors she will leave the show.
9 months" haha, funny dude. Them folks from Days of our lives maybe shoot for that long, not a TV series that does not even play for that long per season.
It is 9 months, dude. Grey's Anatomy starts production in July and ends in April with a 2-week break in December. They may have a 24-episode season but a single episode takes about 1 - 2 weeks to shoot. That's why they need a longer production schedule. That's why its stars could only make one movie a year during their summer hiatus. (^@,^)
If they do indeed shoot for 9 months, I was not aware of that. Please grant me my apologies:))
