Pascal Laugier looking at 'Details'

French helmer Pascal Laugier is set to direct Paramount Vantage's horror thriller "Details," according to Variety.

Based on a short story by China Mieville, the film follows a daughter who vanishes after awakening supernatural forces inhabiting random objects. Dan Kay penned the adaptation, which Laugier rewrote.

Laugier also directed the successful French thriller "Martyrs," which tells the disturbing tale of what happened to a girl after she went missing a year earlier.

The trade also says Laugier is in talks to direct the remake of Clive Barker's "Hellraiser."
