It's here! It's here! Whatever you do this weekend Twilighters, please don't make a bloody scene. Eventually, there will be tickets for everybody. Catherine Hardwicke's vampire romance "Twilight" is officially in theaters, and plenty of reviews are appearing online as I am writing this. Here's what some Web critics have to say about the adventure of Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart:
• Josh Tyler at Cinema Blend: "This is fairly shallow material which, with an oversized blank check budget might have been massaged into a legitimate movie."
• Cinematical's Peter Martin: "Vampire purists may shudder, and the male population in general may grimace, but, despite the missteps, Twilight succeeds as an action-oriented modern-day fairy tale with a strong romantic appeal."
• George Roush at LatinoReview: "There wasn’t anything new or incredibly exciting brought to the big screen through Twilight, but there were a few well done shots and stunt work."
• RopeOfSilicon's Brad Brevet: "The special effects are extremely weak and have the feeling of a made-for-TV movie and the direction of Catherine Hardwicke ('Thirteen') feels as if it is done by a fangirl just as in love with the characters as the target audience."
• JimmyO at Joblo: "It looks good enough and has pleasant enough leads to warrant the many squeals the audience I saw it with gave."
• Neil Miller at FilmSchoolRejects: "If you are looking for a brutal and violent, merciless vampire movie or a sexy, glamorous one, there are plenty of other places to look."
