Filmmaker Nanette Burstein is set to direct New Line Cinema’s upcoming romantic comedy “Going the Distance.”
According to Variety, the film focuses on a couple’s attempt to maintain a long-distance relationship. One lives in Chicago while the other is located in Los Angeles.
Newcomer Geoff LaTulippe, who’s been working at New Line for several years, wrote the script. Adam Shankman and Jennifer Gibgot are on board to produce.
Burstein most recently directed the critically acclaimed documentary “American Teen.” Her credits also include the interesting Robert Evans documentary “The Kid Stays in the Picture.”
