Martin Campbell to keep 'Deadline'

Martin Campbell is a busy guy these days. The “Casino Royale” director is set to direct “Nagasaki Deadline,” an action thriller for Alcon Entertainment.

Variety says the film follows an emotionally weak FBI agent whose latest mission it is to decipher historic events in order to prevent a ruthless terrorist plot.

David and Peter Griffiths wrote the script, with William Broyles Jr. (“Apollo 13”) on board to rewrite the project.

Campbell is currently shooting “Edge of Darkness” with Mel Gibson. His other directorial credits include “GoldenEye” and “The Mask of Zorro.”
