'Twilight' madness spins out of control

Franck Tabouring That's enough! Behave people! It's just a flipping movie about a dead-looking vampire sucking the love out of a teenage girl. Oops, I have to watch what I say here, because I don't want any crazy Twilighters sneaking into my bedroom at night for a round of blood-sucking.
Anyway, things really got bloody Monday at the Stonestown Galleria in San Francisco, where "Twilight" star Robert Pattinson was supposed to show up to make some fans the happiest peope on Earth by slapping his autograph on their heads, bellies and all sorts of other weird places and objects.
Reports around the Web say more than 3,000 "Twilight" fans showed up at the event, which organizers thought would attract only about 500 people. I mean come on... 500? Somebody out there has obviously not heard that this film is almost as - if not - more anticipated than "The Dark Knight."
According to TMZ.com, which has a video of fans waiting in line on their page, one girl broke her nose and another fainted. Angry Twilighters also give their accounts at Twilight Lexicon Blog.
Of course, not every "Twilight" fan is a crazy freak, but I find it absolutely ridiculous that someone or some people would go nuts about a guy who plays a guy who looks like he hasn't slept in years (come on folks, don't hate on me too much now). This whole "Twilight" madness is literally insane.
