Samuel L. Jackson joins ‘Inglourious Basterds’

Over the past, you’ve read tons of articles detailing the latest casting updates of Quentin Tarantino’s upcoming WWII drama “Inglourious Basterds,” and although the flick is already shooting, the cast keeps growing.

According to The Playlist, the two latest to join the gang are Samuel L. Jackson and Maggie Cheung. Jackson apparently won’t have a major role, but he will pop up in a few shots and take on the job as narrator.

As for Cheung, she is set to play Madame Mimieux, a French matron who offers shelter to a young woman hunted by the Nazis.

Also on board of the flick are Brad Pitt, Eli Roth, Mike Myers, Michael Fassbender, B.J. Novak, Diane Kruger, Til Schweiger, Christoph Waltz, Raul Rust and others.

Tarantino hopes to have “Basterds” ready for next year’s Cannes.
