Lindsay-Abaire to write ‘Spider-Man 4’

Columbia Pictures’ sequel “Spider-Man 4” is slowly coming together. According to the Hollywood, David Lindsay-Abaire is in talks to write the screenplay for the fourth Spidey adventure.

Lindsay-Abaire is a Pulitzer Prize-winning playwright whose critically acclaimed and award-winning drama “Rabbit Hole” debuted on Broadway in 2006.

In Hollywood, the writer recently adapted Cornelia Funke’s novel “Inkheart” for director Iain Softley. He also helped develop the story for 2005’s animated flick “Robots.”

As for “Spider-Man 4,” Sam Raimi and Tobey Maguire are back in action. The trade says Kirsten Dunst may also return to reprise her role as Mary Jane.

Final words: Good luck on the writing process Mr. Lindsay-Abaire. Please make this follow-up a more intriguing one than the disappointing “Spider-Man 3.”
