Colin Firth, Julianne Moore and Matthew Goode are set to star in Tom Ford’s directorial debut “A Single Man.”

According to Variety, the film follows a British college professor who loses his partner of 16 years. I know it’s not much, but that’s all we know at this stage.

Ford and David Scearce adapted Christopher Isherwood’s novel, which details one day in a professor’s life in Los Angeles.

I assume Firth is on board as the lead character. Firth most recently starred in Universal’s hit musical “Mamma Mia!” He recently wrapped filming for “Dorian Gray.”

As for Moore, she was last seen in “Blindness.” She has several projects coming up, including “The Private Lives of Pippa Lee” and “Shelter.”

Goode last starred in “Brideshead Revisited.” He’ll appear in Zack Snyder’s upcoming actioner “Watchmen.”
