Is Christopher Nolan in for ‘Dark Knight’ sequel?
Geoff Boucher over at the Los Angeles Times sat down and talked to director Christopher Nolan about the success of “The Dark Knight” and the plans for the sequel.
Looking at some of his answers in this interview, however, it’s pretty clear Nolan is not 100 percent in for a follow-up quite yet. He said the story would play a big factor on whether he will return behind the camera. Here’s a snippet of what he had to say:
Well ... let me think how to put this. There are two things to be said. One is the emphasis on story. What’s the story? Is there a story that’s going to keep me emotionally invested for the couple of years that it will take to make another one?
That’s the overriding question. On a more superficial level, I have to ask the question: How many good third movies in a franchise can people name? [Laughs.]
At the same time, in taking on the second one, we had the challenge of trying to make a great second movie, and there haven't been too many of those either.
It’s all about the story really. If the story is there, everything is possible. I hope that was a suitably slippery answer.
The interview you can read at the Los Angeles Times is part one of three. I’ll post the links as soon as they debut online.

What Happened?
Did his ball dropped off, Hmmm?
Just Kidding!
Of course, maybe he has been pressured by the success of TDK
I Believe that sooner or later he'll sign-up for the third movie...
Despite the Fact that Heath died, I Believe that they will come up with a good storyline and plot. Of Course, with the proper execution and treatment. I believe That They'll (with his Brother, Jonathan Nolan and David S. Goyer) able to do it!
(For those people who believe that all third movies from a franchise sucks: The Godfather III, Spiderman 3 )
Look at the Bright side!
- Lord the Rings: Return of the King
- Bourne Ultimatum
Those are the only ones I've Seen
I believe in Christopher Nolan's Talent!
Maybe He will be the 1st Director who will make the Best Movie Trilogy the world has ever seen....
