Miramax opts for ‘Divorce’
Miramax is set to develop “A.C.O.D. (Adult Children of Divorce),” a satirical comedy meant to add some humor to the usually painful process of divorce, according to the Hollywood Reporter.
Written by Ben Karlin and Stu Zicherman, the film follows an adult who’s still suffering from his parents’ 15-year-old divorce.
Says the trade: the lead character discovers he was unknowingly part of a study on divorced children. He's enlisted in a follow-up years later that wreaks new havoc on his family.
“Six Degrees” co-creator Zicherman will direct the project and produce along with Karlin (who’s the head writer of “The Daily Show) and Bobby Cohen.
Karlin and Zicherman told THR they have been working on the script longer than any of their parents were married. That’s funny. Let’s hope the result of their efforts won’t make us regret the wait.
