Will ‘The Road’ be pushed back to 2009?

Franck Tabouring I am eagerly awaiting the release of John Hillcoat’s upcoming drama “The Road,” but according to the Hollywood Reporter, I may have to wait a little longer than expected.
The trade says the film based on Cormac McCarthy’s novel will be delayed because post-production is still in progress and it simply won’t be done in time for the scheduled Nov. 14 limited release (the film was expected to open wide on Nov. 26).
At this hour, I don’t have any information about a new date. Although studio execs and producers are apparently meeting today to discuss the issue, the film may actually not open until next year.
I obviously haven’t seen any footage from it yet, but from what I’ve heard and read, it may just as well be an awards contender. Let’s just hope they will get it out there in time.
Starring Viggo Mortensen, Charlize Theron, Guy Pierce, Robert Duvall and Kodi Smit-McPhee, “The Road” is a post-apocalypic tale about a man and his son who travel down a road to reach the sea.
Back in August, we posted a wonderful still from “The Road” right here.

Give them some time. If they f**k that movie up, I'll be very angry. And quoting the Hulk, "You won't like me when I'm angry!". No seriously, the book is brilliant, so the movie better be very good. :)
