Franck Tabouring Porn star Sasha Grey has joined Steven Soderbergh’s upcoming indie “The Girlfriend Experience,” Variety reported earlier today.

The low-budget project focuses on prostitution from the perspective of a call girl. Brian Koppelman and David Levien (“Ocean’s Thirteen”) wrote the script.
I don’t know anything about Grey, but the trade says she headed into the porn business at 18 and became the youngest recipient of AVN's Female Performer of the Year award.
"To have the opportunity to work for an Academy Award-winning auteur is truly a great honor," Grey told Adult Video News, who first reported the casting news.
She said she’s been a fan of Soderbergh’s flicks for quite some time, and she feels great about landing a role in a character-driven project.
I can understand why she’s happy about that. But casting an expert in the industry is definitely an interesting choice from Soderbergh.
The helmer most recently directed “Che,” his double feature on Ernesto “Che” Guevara.
