Edition: 2-Disc Limited Collector's Edition

The players: Director: Various, Writer: Various, Cast: Gapsard Ulliel, Natalie Portman, Nick Nolte, Fanny Ardant, Juliette Binoche, Yolande Moreau, Miranda Richardson

Facts of interest: Surprisingly, French critics didn't appreciate the film that much.

The plot: The film comprises 20 short films about love in the city of love.

Our quick thoughts: "Paris, Je T'aime" is an interesting experiment rounding up some of the world's most famous directors and actors. Most of the segments are beautifully shot and will pull you straight into the heart of Paris, a city famous for its precious architecture, corner cafes and tiny, cozy apartments. The film perfectly succeeds as a love letter to Paris, briefly exploring what love in the city of love can do to people looking for love, finding love, or losing love.

Love is all around in the most bizarre forms in some of the shorts, but most of them are quite experimental and highly original. My personal favorite is Joel and Ethan Coen's "Tuileries," in which Steve Buscemi has a perilous encounter with a French couple in a metro station. The limited edition DVD includes 19 insightful behind-the-scenes featurettes, storyboards and a trailer.

Freaky quote: "Our love fell asleep, and the snow took it by surprise. But if you fall asleep in the snow, you don't feel death coming." - Natalie Portman

The final word: Interesting project that will give viewers the opportunity to pick their favorite segments and enjoy them to the fullest extent. The nature of the project might not appeal to the large crowd, but fans of Paris and film buffs should definitely catch the film on DVD.

This is sort-of in the style of "Love Actually" (great film), but has it's own flair. The surroundings are beautiful and very artistic. This is not just views of the Eiffel Tower..the scenery is true and noncommercial. I've been to Paris and didn't get see most:).
