WHAT IS THE SCREENING LOG?
The Screening Log was founded in 2007 and started off as a short blog featuring one-minute movie reviews. Today, the site boasts all the latest film news, previews, movie reviews, new trailers, clips, box office reports, festival and awards coverage, and pretty much everything else related to the world of film.
The reviews you will find on The Screening Log are not your average newspaper reviews. Instead of using complex words and digging too deep into a movie's thematic, these reviews are simple and straightforward, written in an easy way and without revealing too much about the films.
The point here is not to spoil movies for the audiences. The reviews are merely the honest thoughts of the writers. They tell it like it is and let cinemagoers discover the rest. Who wants to know too much about a movie before seeing it anyway?
The Screening Log is currently gearing up to relocate to Los Angeles, CA.
WHO IS THE SCREENING LOG?
The Screening Log was founded by Franck Tabouring, who came to the U.S. from Luxembourg in 2006 to study journalism at the University of Tennessee in Knoxville. Previously to coming to the U.S., Franck had been working as a film critic for several radio and television stations in his home country.
At RTL Television, Franck co-coordinated a weekly cinema show and reviewed many new films. He also had the chance to interview visiting directors and actors such as Michael Radford, Lambert Wilson, Ben Sombogart and Stephanie Leonidas, just to name a few. Franck was also a part of the Cinenygma International Film Frestival.
After finishing his BS in journalism and electronic media, Franck moved to San Francisco to attend the San Francisco School of Digital Filmmaking. He now lives in Los Angeles. Franck also contributes DVD reviews to DVDVerdict, and some of his articles have also been featured on The Alternative Film Guide. Previously, Franck wrote DVD reviews for Cinema Blend and movie reviews for TNJN.
